The Taming of the Shrew

In our unit on the Taming of the Shrew, I invited a couple to come in and talk to the freshman about healthy Biblical submission in marriage. We learned about coming into a marriage with "baggage"-- hence the stones that represent bad habits, past relationships, selfishness, etc. There are also tools: a rolling pin that can be used for a good purpose (making goodies), or a bad purpose (hitting your mate over the head).

All in all, the students learned a lot and I enjoyed their questions; I learned more about what they think and wonder about--it always interests me!

I think I am the luckiest person to work with teens!
