Renaissance Men?

As part of our current unit of study on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, the students in the freshman class chose a topic to research--background on the life and times of the author. The end result? Many interesting topics presented--falconry, archery (complete with a demonstration), fashion, food, dance, music, beheading...just to name a few. the students were allowed to present their topic anyway they chose--as long as it was, first and foremost, education, second, well-researched and planned, and third, entertaining. Hallie chose to research Renaissance Men and present it as a game. Which "man" in the class had the most widespread knowledge, the best vocabulary, the abiltiy to sing and dance well. OK...you decide who should win in the singing and dancing part of the competition. I bring to you, all the way from Germany, our very own BFA "idol" competition... Hmmmmm......
