Walmart on Wheels

In late November, and once again in the spring of each year, a traveling caravan of nomadic shopkeepers arrive in our sleepy town late at night (from 10 pm on...right outside our door). At dawn, they assemble their open air shops, some tents, some trailers, and some fancy rigs like a Winnebago that opens at the side with a ready made shopkeepers store in tact. Customers come from miles around.

What is for sale? "What isn't," Brad said. "Everything but the kitchen sink." Toys, sweaters, gloves, screwdrivers, material, pillows, screws, dolls, books, peanuts, candy, nightgowns, etc.

At nightfall, the "shops" are closed up, the drivers get behind the wheel of their vehicles and move on to the next town, which we are told, can be hours away.
We call it Walmart on Wheels. Yes, there even are Minnie Mouse balloons for sale...
