Esther

Pictured left is Esther, one of my favorite summer interns. At 79 years of age, Esther came from southern California to serve for three months. She told me that having grown up as the daughter of a pastor, she had always wanted to go the mission field and finally found the time to do it
Esther is an inspiration to me. She served in Croatia for two weeks at a TEFL camp as a teacher, worked in a Janz team camp in Kandern for two weeks as kitchen help, attended the Greater Europe Mission annual conference in Poland, and served the remainder of her time in the GEM TEFL office working at the computer. I can only hope and pray that by age 79, my heart for service, my energy, and roll-up-my-sleeves attitude will be half of hers!
