Escape to Lausanne

If we had to escape Budenfest, this was the way to go. We visited Denton in Lausanne. Denton used to be in our College and Careers group from the Hampton Alliance Church that met at our home in East Hampton, New York.

Denton is currently living in Lausanne, Switzerland. His mom, Debbie, is God's gift to missionaries. Last time we saw her, she patched a hole in my favorite pants, took up the hem on two shirts, and gave me a foot massage to top off the evening. I asked her if she wanted to adopt me.

I suppose if we wanted to pick a weekend away to escape Budenfest, we picked a good one. Saturday it rained all day and we rested up reading. Sunday we attended Denton's awesome church. After church we went for a walk around Lake Geneva.

The last photo is a poster advertising a dance festival in Lausanne. You have to admire a town that advertises a dance festival with... frog's legs.Thank you, Denton, for rescuing us from Budenfest and giving us a lovely weekend.
