January was a difficult month for the students and staff of Black Forest Academy. I don't know if readers of my blog will remember our flu outbreak, but on our worst day there were 72 students out sick (that number did not include staff).
Following the flu and cold season at BFA, I wrote in my blog that I was impressed with the students. They never complain about blowing their nose into coarse commercial toilet paper which sits on my desk at school for that purpose.
A big box arrived last week from a Christian sister in the states--with 8 boxes of soft fluffy Kleenex!
My students decided to say "Thank you" by putting on a short skit. Our freshman English class had just completed a five week unit on Romeo and Juliet so that was uppermost in their minds!
Trust me! The boys had to be coerced to "cry" over Romeo's demise--even though they were very happy that we were finishing up with our study of Shakespeare.
Welcome to the closing minute of ACT V, Romeo and Juliet as Shakespeare never intended it to be.
From the bottom of our hearts, and the tip of our noses, the students would like to thank the Libath family for sending Kleenex!
It has arrived just in time for Spring Break! The students are going home for Spring Break to be with their families for Easter. Please pray for safe traveling for them and a safe, HEALTHY return!
