Joannie is another RA. This will be her third and last year at the dorm. A few RAs have stayed longer but it is rare for them to do so. There is a high turn over. Imagine becoming a parent to thirty kids when you are in your early or mid twenties.
I commented to Joannie that this would make her a better mother. She laughed and said, "Not only a better mother, but a better daughter, a better sister, a better aunt, a better wife one day..."
