We attended French Church with Bob, Heidi, and children. Yes, that is the Purpose Filled Church poster that is at the front of the sanctuary.
The church has small groups that meet weekly. Many of the missionaries that are in language school (the same school that Bob attends), go to this church.
I met one couple from the states. The husband is from Ohio and his wife is Australian. Her parents, who are also missionaries, are friends with John and Mamie Soper, our one time Metropolitan District Superintendent for the C&MA church we attended on Long Island.
We also met Harry Walker's (Heidi's dad) French teacher from when Harry attended the same school in Albertville when Heidi was 5 years old. (Charis attends the same school that Heidi did when she lived there with her family.)
Brad and I had the opportunity to visit with many missionaries that are preparing to go out to the field when their language schooling is completed. One example: a young couple will be going to Mali. The husband will be working with a relief organization and the wife will be counseling prostitutes to help them get out of the business. They will be helping them start their own crafts business.
